This is a cool season (Treasure Valley), clumping grass with a compact, erect growth habit. Magnificent, wheat-like seed heads appear in late spring and last all season long. This tall grass (36-42 inches) provides a great backdrop for lower growing plants and is also useful for screening and will not reseed. A good choice for some of our heavy clay Idaho soils.
