A safe and effective way to control insects!

Natural Guard "DIATOMACEOUS EARTH"

It’s the time of year when gardeners are seeing their garden being riddled by insects and we have an effective yet safe method of controlling many of the insects found in the garden. Our nursery manager has over 49 years in the nursery industry and he certainly recommends Natural Guard Diatomaceous Earth as an effective way to control crawling insects. It’s a natural contact insecticide that works by causing abrasions on insects as they come in contact with this product, resulting in loss of body fluids, then dehydration. It’s also digestible by earthworms, thus causing them no harm. Very effective in controlling snails and slugs in bedding plant areas and around the home. Natural Guard Diatomaceous Earth controls cockroaches, ants, earwigs, snails, slugs, millipedes, centipedes, silverfish, fleas, carpet beetles bedbugs, grasshoppers, and other listed crawling insects. For use outdoors as well as indoors.

To apply, we recommend using a hand duster or bulbous duster. This allows you to apply a light coating of Natural Guard Diatomaceous Earth in places where crawling insects can be found. You will need to reapply after each watering for effective control as water will cause the product to be absorbed into the soil, rendering it useless at controlling insects.
