A great vacation...

Our entire family took a rare vacation this year. Fourteen of us vacationed near Newport, Oregon. This is the first time we have gone as a group and we had a tremendous time as a family. Four generations were there, great grandparents, grandparents, parents and their children.

Gavin, Liam, Silas, and Sailor sought rock crab while Hayden found a great golf course to practice his golf swing. Grandparents, great grandparents and other family members were big on shopping at several shops in Lincoln City and Newport. At times during our vacation, breakfast, lunch or dinner was served at nearby restaurants, but the best food was served locally by family members. Mary, Shannon and Shay spent more than their fair share of time in the kitchen. And Gavin and Liam wrestled with pots and pans for a good part of one day fixing the delicious crab feast you see in the pictures below (click on the picture and then use the arrows on the left/right side of the picture to scroll through them).

The last day of vacation was spent in Portland shopping at such places as Ikea and the many stores nearby. We arrived in Portland the night night prior and needed three hotel suites to accommodate all of us.
